President Pendarovski sends St. Clement of Ohrid greeting

President Stevo Pendarovski on Sunday sent a greeting to Archbishop Stefan, Head of the Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric, on St. Clement of Ohrid Day.

The day of the patron of the Macedonian Orthodox Church has an invaluable spiritual, cultural and social significance, according to Pendarovski.

“Honoring of St. Clement of Ohrid as the founder of the Ohrid Literary School goes beyond national borders. His work and that of his teachers, holy brothers Cyril and Methodious, had left mark in European culture as a whole,” Pendarovski said, adding that the legacy of St. Clement of Ohrid should be preserved with respect and dignity.
