Romania’s Health Minister Opens Three-Day Visit to Israel

Jerusalem, 3 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Bucharest (AGERPRES) – Romanian Minister of Health Alexandru Rogobete begins a three-day official visit to Israel on Tuesday, as part of a delegation led by the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Sorin Grindeanu.

“The visit is part of Romania’s efforts to expand international cooperation and to adopt best practices relevant to the development of the healthcare system, healthcare digitalisation and health insurance,” the Ministry of Health said.

The agenda includes discussions with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Speaker of the Knesset Amir Ohana, and visits to leading hospitals such as the Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital and the Herzog Hospital, both in Jerusalem.

Meetings are also scheduled with representatives of the private healthcare and health insurance sectors, including Meuhedet Health Services.
