Serbian Students Sweep Medals at International STEM Competition
Jerusalem, 9 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Belgrade (Tanjug) – Students from Serbia, who are also participants of the “Nikola Tesla” Regional Talent Center, won 11 medals at the International Competition of Research Papers in Mathematics, Biology and Engineering Sciences, which was held in Izmir, Turkey, and the Minister of Education Dejan Vuk Stanković congratulated them on their success, emphasizing that their knowledge will contribute to the betterment of the world.
The representatives of Serbia are the only team whose members all stood on the winning podium, because every student won a medal in the competition in which more than 200 students from seventeen countries participated, the Ministry of Education announced.
“We are proud of your success, knowledge and talent. You represented Serbia brilliantly. With work and effort, you surpassed the competitors from other countries and the success you achieved was not achieved by the representatives of any other country. We admire your achievements and I wish you to continue to win and achieve notable results in the future. I also wish you further success in education and I sincerely believe that your knowledge will contribute to the betterment of the world we live in,” said Stanković.
