Series of quakes felt in Bitola region, epicenter in Greece

A series of earthquakes with epicenters in Bitola region and the neighbouring Greece were registered Sunday and Monday, Seismological Observatory within Skopje-based Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics informs.

The first quake was felt Monday at 7:41 am in the area of Medzitlija border crossing measuring 4 according to the European Macroseismic Scale, while the second quake with intensity of 3 degrees according to the European Macroseismic Scale was felt in Bitola region Sunday at 3:40 pm.

The first quake registered a magnitude 3, while the second 3.3 on the Richter scale.
