Special Forces From Six Nations Launch Joint Drills in Azerbaijan
Jerusalem, 9 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The multinational joint exercise “Endless Brotherhood – IV” is being held in Baku with the participation of special forces from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Turkey. On September 9, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan attended the solemn opening ceremony of the exercise.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense, first, the Commander of the Special Forces, Hero of the Patriotic War, Major General Alakbar Jahangirov, reported to the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, about the readiness of the training participants for the opening ceremony.
A minute of silence was declared to commemorate the martyrs of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Pakistan and Turkey.
Accompanied by a military orchestra, the national anthems of the participating countries were played and national flags were raised.
It was noted at the event that special forces from 6 countries are participating in the “Infinite Brotherhood-IV” multinational joint exercise, which involves armored vehicles, army aviation, and unmanned aerial vehicles.
It was noted that the main goal of the joint training is to exchange experience, improve skills in organizing mutual activities, as well as develop the capabilities and skills to conduct joint operations if necessary, through joint special operations between special forces of friendly and allied countries.
Hasanov, speaking at the opening ceremony, said that such exercises are of strategic importance not only in terms of exchanging military experience and increasing practical skills, but also for strengthening international security and maintaining peace in the region.
During the multinational exercise, special forces units will perform combat training missions on combat tactics such as shooting, parachuting, sniping, as well as clearing a residential area from the enemy.
