Stabbing Attack in Ra'anana: One Hospitalized in Moderate Condition

Jerusalem, 13 October, 2015 (TPS) -- At 8:50am, emergency teams received a report of a terrorist stabbing attack in the city of Rannana on Ahuzah Street.

Initial investigations show that a 22-year-old from East Jerusalem approached an individual at a bus stop and stabbed him in the neck. Bystanders intervened and managed to subdue the terrorist until security forces arrived at the scene.

The victim was evacuated to a nearby hospital and is in moderate condition. The terrorist, who was also transported for medical treatment is apparently in serious condition due to wounds inflicted by bystanders. However, there is no indication that the terrorist was shot.

Police blocked the road where the attack took place, in order to conduct additional searches.
