Starlink in Kosovo, Kurti: ‘An Important Step in the Advancement of Digital Infrastructure’

Jerusalem, 23 December, 2024 (TPS-IL) -- Pristina (KosovaPress) — The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has welcomed Starlink to Kosovo.

Kurti wrote that after the issuance of the authorization by the Regulatory Authority of Electronic and Postal Communications, Starlink has started satellite internet access services in Kosovo as well.

“This is an important step in the advancement of the digital infrastructure in the country and offers numerous opportunities for Internet access in every location and corner of the territory of the Republic of Kosovo. Starlink has proven extremely important in enabling critical communication during natural disasters or other national emergencies,” Kurti wrote on Facebook.

Starlink’s high-speed, low-latency internet is now available in Kosovo.

The news was announced by American billionaire Elon Musk through a status on his X platform.
