Strikes on Tehran Compound Hit Regime’s Top Security Facilities

Jerusalem, 3 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Israel confirmed on Tuesday striking what it described as the Iranian regime’s most central leadership compound in Tehran overnight Monday, targeting facilities used by the country’s top political and security officials.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, the Israeli Air Force “struck and dismantled facilities within the leadership compound of the Iranian terrorist regime in the heart of Tehran.”

The military said numerous munitions were dropped on compound which contains the Presidential Office and the building of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council. The “gathering site of the regime’s most senior forum responsible for security decision-making” was also targeted, along with an institution used to train Iranian military officers and other key infrastructure.

The IDF described the compound as “one of the most heavily secured assets in Iran,” spanning several streets in central Tehran, where senior officials convened to conduct assessments on Iran’s nuclear program and what Israel called plans for its destruction.

“This compound serves as the most central and significant headquarters of the Iranian terrorist regime,” the IDF said, adding that the strike “further degrades the functional continuity of the regime’s command and control systems.”
