Swearing-In Ceremonies Mark Start of Service for Azerbaijan’s New Soldiers
Jerusalem, 15 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – In accordance with the 2026 preparation plan approved by Defense Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the swearing-in ceremonies of young soldiers in the Azerbaijani Army were held on Sunday.
AZERTAC was informed about this by the Ministry of Defense.
After the battle flags were solemnly brought to the parade grounds accompanied by military bands, the events were declared open.
First, a minute of silence was observed in memory of the National Leader of our people, Heydar Aliyev, as well as the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was played.
Young soldiers solemnly took the military oath and promised to be loyal to their homeland.
Representatives of the Ministry of Defense and military unit commanders made speeches and congratulated the young soldiers on the occasion of the significant day, advising them to be loyal to the Motherland, the state, and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief in times of war, to serve exemplary, to constantly improve their combat readiness by deeply studying the secrets of weapons and equipment, to accurately and timely carry out the orders and instructions of the commander-in-chief, and to be ready at any time for the defense of our lands.
The parents of the young soldiers who spoke expressed their pride in their children’s honorable service to the Motherland and their gratitude to the head of state and the leadership of the Ministry of Defense for the created conditions.
The swearing-in ceremonies ended with military personnel marching past the stands in solemn marches.
