Jerusalem, 28 December, 2017 (TPS) -- Employees of the Tel Aviv Municipality put up the world’s largest Lego tower outside City Hall on Wednesday night. The ‘Omer Tower’ tower stands 36 meters or 118 feet tall and was built from over 500,000 2X4cm lego bricks. It was built in memory of Omer Sayag, a nine-year-old boy, who died of brain cancer in 2014 and was an avid Lego lover. Pictures of the tower, including images shot from a drone, will be submitted to Guinness world Records in a claim for a new world record. The previous record for the world’s tallest Lego tower was set in 2015, when Lego Italia built a 55.05 or 115-foot tower in Milan.
