Ten Migrants from Serbia and Kuwait Caught After Crossing Danube from Serbia

Jerusalem, 23 December, 2020 (TPS) -- Bucharest, Dec 23 /Agerpres/ – Ten migrants from Syria and Kuwait were caught by the Romanian authorities as soon as they crossed the Danube coming from Serbia, with the help of a boat, claiming to have paid up to 3,000 euros per person to be helped in this attempt.

According to a press release of the Romanian Border Police on Wednesday, the authorities established that the foreigners are from Syria and Kuwait, six adults aged between 20 and 30 and four minors aged between 10 months and 17 years.

‘During the checks, they said that they crossed the border from Serbia in a motorboat driven by an unknown person and were planning to reach a Western European country. They also said they paid between 1,000 and 3,000 euros for their transportation across the Danube,’ the same press release informs.
