Jerusalem, 18 October, 2016 (TPS) -- On Wednesday afternoon, two stone-throwing incidents left three people injured in Israel’s capital.

Stones were thrown at a vehicle in Jerusalem’s A-Tur neighborhood on Wednesday afternoon, which lightly injured two Israelis who were given medical treatment by Magen David Adom. Israeli police and border guard units are searching for suspects who fled the area.

A second stone throwing incident in the Old City area in Jerusalem took place later in the afternoon near the Lions’ Gate of the Old City walls. One person was injured and police units are searching for suspects who fled the area.

According to the Israel Police Foreign Press Spokesman, Micky Rosenfeld, police and border guard units arrested one suspect for the stone throwing incident in the A-Tur neighborhood earlier. As the security forces chased the suspect down, he continued to throw rocks until he was captured. The suspect is a 15-year-old teen and a resident of A-Tur, an Arab neighborhood on the Mount of Olives located about one kilometer east from the Old City.

On Monday, Israeli police arrested 10 young Arab boys, ages 10 – 17, who were throwing stones at passerby on top of rooftops in the Old City. No injuries were reported.
