UAE FM Abdullah bin Zayed Call Israeli PM with New Year’s Greetings

His Highness (H.H.) Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), telephoned Prime Minister of the State of Israel Yair Lapid Minister on the occasion of the Jewish New Year – Rosh Hashanah – expressing his aspiration for the growth and development of relations between the two countries at all levels for the benefit of their peoples.

During the phone conversation, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed thanked Prime Minister Lapid for the warm reception during his recent visit at the head of an official delegation to the State of Israel, which coincided with the two countries’ celebration of the two-year anniversary of their signing of the Abraham Accords Peace Agreement.

H.H. stressed that the success of the two countries in building fruitful and solid relations is a clear embodiment of the benefits of peace for ”our region and our ability” to work together for a prosperous future for generations. He commended the statement of Lapid before the United Nations General Assembly in New York, during which he stressed the importance of peace for the peoples of the region and called for a two-state solution to achieve security and stability for the Israeli and Palestinian peoples.
