Jerusalem, 27 December, 2017 (TPS) -- Israeli Transportation and Intelligence Minister Yisrael Katz announced Wednesday that he has decided to name the planned train station at the entrance to the Western Wall in Jerusalem after US President Donald Trump. The decision was made as a thank you to the American President for publicly recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and vowing to move the U.S Embassy there from Tel Aviv.
“The Western Wall is the holiest place for the Jewish people, and I decided to call the train station that leads to it after President Trump following his historical and brave decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of the State of Israel,” said Katz.
