Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunda decided to appoint Dr. Evan Cohen as Foreign Press Adviser.
Cohen, 51, is a lecturer in linguistics at Tel Aviv University. He is originally from South Africa and immigrated to Israel with his family when he was nine.
He was one of the activists who established the gay group within Netanyahu’s Likud party.
Jerusalem Main Entrance Shut Down – For 3 Years

The main entrance to Jerusalem on Sunday was shut down to traffic and will remain in this state for the next three years, as the city launched a major project to renovate and modernize the entrance to the city and make it more accessible to incoming traffic.
Heavy traffic is expected to plague the area until it is reopened in three years,
Terrorists Attack Atarot Police Base

Arab terrorists on Wednesday night threw Molotov cocktails at a Border Police base in Atarot, just north of Jerusalem, setting three cars on fire.
The Molotov cocktails did not ignite in the base itself but landed in a lot in which cars impounded by the police were held, setting three of the vehicles on fire.
Firefighting forces were alerted to the scene and extinguished the blaze.
There were no casualties in the incident. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
IDF Venicles Damaged in Riot

IDF forces operating in the villages of Halhul and al-Arub in the area of the Etzion regional brigade encountered violent disturbances during which Arab rioters threw stones at the troops, who responded with crowd dispersal means.
There were no casualties, but several military vehicles were damaged
Terrorist Shot While Attacking Military Court

A terrorist on Monday threw several Molotov cocktails at a Border Police checkpoint at the entrance to the Samaria Military Court, near the Arab village of Salem.
The terrorist was shot by Border Police officers in his lower body and was injured. He was subsequently arrested.
The court was shut down and sappers have been alerted to the scene.
The court has been the target of previous attacks.
