Palestinian girl arrested after infiltraring Kochav Ya’akov
A 14-year-old Palestinian girl was arrested Monday morning after infiltrating the perimiter fence of Kochav Ya’akov in Binyamin. The suspect was arrested by the members of the community emergency response squad and was taken for interrogation by security forces. The residents were asked to stay at home until searches for additional suspects are completed.
Netanyahu: Bolsonaro told me he will move Brazil embassy to Jerusalem
Brazilian President-elect Jair Bolsonaro will move his country’s embassy to Jerusalem, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Sunday during a meeting with Jewish leaders in Rio de Janeiro. Netanyahu said Bolsonaro had told him ‘I will move the embassy to Jerusalem. It’s not a question of if, just a question of when.’ Netanyahu said Bolsonaro had accepted his invitation to visit Israel in the coming months and would do so by March. “I look forward to receiving him with the same spirit and the same brotherhood that he received me and that you are receiving us,” Netanyahu said.
Netanyahu will attend Bolsonaro’s inauguration ceremony on January 1.
Police, Shin Bet raid Samaria yeshiva, arrest Jewish minors
Police and Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) agents raided a yeshiva in the Samaria region on Sunday morning and arrested three minors in relation to a security-related affair, according to initial reports. A gag order has been placed on further details. One of the teen’s lawyers said he had been prohibited from meeting his client.
Bennett, Shaked offer position to former party member Yinon Magal
Outgoing Jewish Home Chairman Naftalli Bennett and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked have offered a position in their newly formed party to Yinon Magal, a radio news anchor and former Member of Knesset for the Jewish Home, who was forced to resign from the Knesset after allegations of sexual harassment surfaced.
