Senior Hamas official: Fire Liberman to end the escalation
Senior Hamas official Husam Badran has said that if Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu wants to put a stop to the current escalation between Gaza and Israel, he must “fire [Defense Minister Avigdor] Liberman.”
He added that Liberman was the reason for the start of the current round of escalation.
For the last 36 hours, there has been a major escalation between Gaza and Israel. Over 400 rockets have been sent into Israel by Hamas, and in retaliation Israel has bombed over 150 points in the Strip.
Ashkelon rocket attack victim Palestinian construction worker
The man killed in the Monday night rocket attack on Ashkelon is Bashir Mahmoud Abu Atzba (48), a Palestinian construction worker from Hebron.
Senior diplomatic source: Israel is not engaging in mediation efforts

COGAT issues warning to Gaza residents
Major General Kamil Abu Rokun, Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories, sent Gaza residents an unequivocal message Monday night: “”The Hamas terrorist organization has crossed the red line in its violation of the sovereignty of the State of Israel and its citizens in recent hours, and the State of Israel will continue to respond harshly against any terrorist activity or rocket fire by the Hamas terrorist organization. People of Gaza,take a good look at the pictures from 2014 conflict – a picture worth a thousand words,” Abu Rokun, wrote in “Almonsk” the Facebook page of COGAT in Arabic.
