Manelis: ‘Hamas is leading Gaza to destruction’
Monday evening, IDF Spokesperson Brig. Gen. Ronen Manelis warned Hamas that it is “leading Gaza on a path to destruction,” adding that in the coming hours, “they will feel the force of the IDF’s response.”

Thousands attend funeral of fallen officer
Thousands showed up Monday to pay their respects to Lieutenant Colonel M. who was killed in the line of duty during an operation by Israeli special forces in the Gaza Strip on Sunday night. M’s identity has been censored due to security concerns, and media outlets were requested not to cover his funeral.
Hamas threatens retaliation over Gaza incursion
Hamas has been circulating pictures of snipers on social media, under the caption “the resistance does not sleep”, hinting at a possible retaliation by Hamas to Sunday night’s incident in Gaza, in which one IDF officer and seven Hamas operatives were killed. The nature of the pictures hint that the terror organization’s retaliation may not be with rockets, as is their usual method of operation, but rather using snipers positioned on the border.
On July 20th, Sgt. Aviv Levi was killed by Hamas sniper fire on the border during the weekly Friday protests.
