Eshkol Regional Council head calls on government to eradicate Gaza arson terror
Head of the Eshkol Regional Council in the Gaza Belt, Gadi Yarkoni urged the government to take action against the arson terror emanating from Gaza as well as the weekly protests on the border.
“This cry is coming after a long time that we bit our lips,” Yarkoni told Army Radio on Monday, “People did not come and live here with the knowledge that people would be setting tires on fire every Friday,” he added.
Incendiary balloon found in back yard in Jerusalem suburb
Residents of the town of Givat Ze’ev, a small suburban town between Jerusalem and Ramallah, discovered what appears to be remains of an incendiary balloon, similar to the ones launched into Israel from Gaza, in a back yard of one of the town’s houses. Police who arrived on the scene collected the device and brought it in for further investigation.
The Israeli Police calls upon residents of the area to be vigilant and exercise caution.
Second victim of Barkan terrorist attack named
The second victim of the Barkan Industrial Zone terrorist attack, which took place on Sunday morning has been named as Ziv Chagbi.
He was a 35-year-old husband and father of three children who resided in Rishon LeZion.
Woman killed in Barkan terrorist attack named
The woman who was killed in Sunday morning’s terrorist attack at the Barkan Industrial Park has been named as 28-year-old Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel.
She was from Rosh Ha’ayin and she was a wife, as well as a mother to a small son.
It’s believed that she had been bound with plastic cable ties before being shot at point-blank range by the terrorist.
Netanyahu: ‘We will catch the terrorist’
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu opened Sunday morning’s government meeting by addressing the terror attack that took place on Sunday morning and took the lives of two Israelis:
“This is a very serious terror attack, in which two Israelis were brutally murdered and a thirds injured. Security forces are in pursuit of the vile murderer. I am sure they will catch him, and I am sure we will bring him to justice. I would like to send condolences to the families of the two victims, as well as our prayers for a speedy recovery to the wounded victim.”
