Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke with his Greek counterpart Alexis Tsipras Tuesday in a condolence call after forest fires that left at least 74 people dead. “Israel mourns with the people of Greece over the loss of life. I express my deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones,” Netanyahu said.

Israel has offered its assistance to Greek authorities in combatting the raging flames in the country. The Greek Ambassador Konstantinos Bikas thanked Israel for its offer, but assured that they are able to contain the incident on their own.
