A bomb carrying an explosive device was found Tuesday morning at a school in the Eshkol Regional Council in the north-western Negev near the Gaza border. The school was empty at the time due to the summer holidays. A spokesman for the council said the device had been neutralized.

Dozens of Syrian refugees began approaching the Israeli border in the Quneitra region on Tuesday. According to initial reports, many of them are waving white pieces of clothing as flags.

IDF Strikes Hamas Posts in Response Arson Attacks

The IDF struck two Hamas posts near Beit Hanoun and Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip Monday afternoon, in response to recurring arson attacks originating in the area.
“Moments ago, an IAF aircraft struck two Hamas posts in the northern Gaza Strip. These posts were located near areas where arson balloons are launched, starting fires in Israel,” the IDF said in a statement, adding that the strike “was in response to Hamas’ arson attacks against Israeli civilians and Israeli sovereignty.”
