Arson kite lands in Sderot backyard
An arson kite from the Gaza Strip landed in the garden of a private home in Sderot Thursday but did not appear to cause any life or property damage.
A Police spokesman said bomb disposal experts responded to the balloon and closed off the area. Bomb disposal experts dealing with the balloon with a device attached to it.
Court orders release of suspect in Duma firebombing case
The Tel Aviv District Court ordered an Israeli suspect to be released to house arrest Thursday after more than two years in police custody.
The minor is suspected of having participated a 2015 firebombing attack on a family home in the Arab village of Duma, in northern Samaria. Three members of the Dawabshe family died in the attack and one was critically wounded. The individual, who was 17-years-old at the time of the attack, is suspected of helping plan the attack but not of actually carrying it out. He is also a suspect in six additional cases involving arson attacks.
All suspects in the case have pleaded innocent.
Code Red alarm sounds in Golan Heights, Jordan Valley
Code Red missile alert sirens sounded Wednesday in the Golan Heights and Jordan Valley. Initial reports indicate that the system was set off by Patriot missile fired from northern Israel at a target in Syrian airspace.
Overnight Shooting in Beit-El
Shots were fired into the town of Beit-El near Ramallah on Monday night, no one was hurt. An initial investigation concluded that the shots were most likely fired from a passing vehicle coming from the area of Jalazone. Following the attack, IDF forces began searching the area, where they found several bullet casings. Attempts to find the attackers are underway.
