IDF Reserves NCO Seriously Injured in Car Accidents
An IDF Non-Commissioned Officer in the reserves was seriously injured on Tuesday in a car accident in the center of the country.
The military police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
IDF Officer Injured on Egyptian Border
An IDF officer operating on Israel’s southern border with Egypt was lightly injured by shrapnel on Monday night.
An IDF spokesman announced Tuesday that during the night an IDF officer was lightly injured as a result of a shrapnel wound sustained during routine operations near the Egyptian border.
The officer received medical treatment on the spot.
The circumstances of the incident are being investigated, the IDF said.
The IDF did not provide any further details on the source of the shrapnel or the circumstances of the injury.
IDF Downs Lebanese Drone
The IDF on Sunday afternoon downed a Lebanese drone that was flying in proximity to the border.
The IDF stated that one of its units identified a drone that had apparently penetrated from Lebanese territory into Israeli airspace.
The drone was monitored by IDF forces “with a variety of tools.”
Lebanese sources report that the IDF electronically highjacked the device and landed it in Israel.
“The IDF will continue to work to prevent any violation of Israeli sovereignty,” it stated.
Such incidents occur every several months.
Israeli Forces Arrest Terrorists Hours After Attack
Israel’s security forces on Saturday arrested an Arab terrorist cell hours after it attempted to carry out a serious terrorist attack on the Israeli community of Beit El.
The Shin Bet (Israel’s Security Agency) on Saturday stated that at the end of a joint intelligence and operational activity the forces arrested three terrorists in the Jilzon refugee camp.
A few hours before their arrest, on Friday night, the terrorists tried to carry out an attack that involved throwing a bomb and firing from a passing vehicle at Beit El.
There were no casualties and no damage was caused during the failed attack.
The terrorists were transferred for further investigation by the Shin Bet.
“Security forces will continue to work to maintain security in the area and will work to thwart terrorist attacks and capture terrorists,” the Shin Bet stated.
IDF Captures Terror Cell Just Before Attack
IDF troops on Wednesday evening operating in the Samaria area captured an Arab terrorist cell armed with firebombs, apparently on its way to carry out in attack.
The four terrorists were caught with two firebombs and an improvised explosive device and are suspected to have been on their way to an attack.
The four suspects were transferred to the Shin Bet security service for further investigation.
The IDF stated that it “will continue to operate to maintain security in the area and to thwart terrorist attacks.”
