Jerusalem, 18 February, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- In Kiryat Shmona, 25,990 people were eligible to vote for the city’s local election held on Monday after they were delayed for 14 months due to the war.
Here supporters of various political parties campaign outside one local polling location, and 83 special polling stations were placed nationwide from the north to Eilat for those eligible to vote who have not yet returned to their homes after more than a year of being evacuated for their own safety.
Kiryat Shmona is located on the border with Lebanon and was hit hard by rickets and missiles launched by Hezbollah terrorists from bases in Lebanon.
