British Officials Honor Their World War I Fallen in Israeli Cemetery Before Armistice Day

Jerusalem, 10 November, 2024 (TPS) -- Ahead of Armistice Day for the British observed on Nov 11 every year – this is the day in 1918 that the cease fire ending World War I went into effect and is known as Veterans’ Day in the US – the British Army held its annual national remembrance ceremony today at the British military cemetery in Ramla, honoring the fallen British and allied soldiers of World War I who are buried at the site. Jews, Christians, Muslims, and followers of other religions are buried together at the cemetery.
