Burning Hametz in Jerusalem

Jewish World By TPS   •   15 April, 2022

Jerusalem, 15 April, 2022 (TPS) -- People burn any remaining hametz (items made with grains that are not kosher for Passover) on the eve of Passover. The hametz burned is what was found the night before in a traditional final search for any that might remain in the home. While the burning is not obligatory, many make it into a holiday eve celebration in and of itself.
