Coastal Residents Protest Against the Leviathan Gas Rig

Jerusalem, 1 January, 2020 (TPS) -- Thousands of coastal residents and members of environmental groups protested in front of the government complex in Tel Aviv against the commencement of Noble Energy’s Leviathan gas rig’s operations, which they claim would significantly increase air pollution in their residential area.

The residents, who live on the coastal region adjacent to the rig, had begun evacuating their homes, due to the increased air pollution they believe the rig’s operations will cause.
