Ethiopian – Israelis Attend Special Passover Blessing at the Western Wall

Jerusalem, 25 April, 2024 (TPS) -- Ethiopian Jews, with colorful umbrellas to protect them from the strong sun during the heatwave that has hit Israel, attend the annual mass Priestly Blessing – the special Hebrew prayer recited by Kohanim (Jewish priests, descendants of Aaron the brother of Moses and the first Cohen) held on the intermittent days of the Passover holiday at the Kotel – Western Wall – Plaza in Jerusalem’s Old City.

This year the event included a special prayer for the safety of the 133 Israelis still held hostage in Gaza.
