First National Memorial Day for Fallen Heroes of the Iron Swords War

Jerusalem, 27 October, 2024 (TPS) -- A state memorial ceremony was held Sunday in Jerusalem at Mount Herzl National Military cemetery’s Great Leaders Plaza for the 769 Israeli soldiers who have fallen in the Iron Swords War against Hamas terrorists in Gaza. Sunday was the first official National Memorial Day for the October 7 massacre which was held two days after the Hebrew date on which the massacre occurred. Since it was a holiday the memorial cannot be held on the exact date.
