Funeral of Cydrick Garin Killed in Gaza – a Filipino IDF Soldier

Jerusalem, 25 January, 2024 (TPS) -- Israelis and Filipinos paid their last respects to Sgt. 1st Class (res.) Cydrick Garin at Tel Aviv’s Kiryat Shaul military cemetery on Jan. 25, 2024. The 23-year-old Garin was killed along with 20 other soldiers when a building in the Gaza Strip collapsed on them.
Garin was born in the Philippines and came to Israel as a child when his mother came to work there.
Israel has a very large population of Filipinos who live and work in the country.
