Jerusalem, 30 September, 2024 (TPS) -- Numerous Israelis who are followers of the Hasidic Jewish tradition departed on Monday for Uman, in Ukraine, to celebrate the Jewish New Year – Rosh Hashana – at the grave of 19th Century Hasidic Rabbi Nachman of Breslov. The faithful believe Rebbe Bachman will absolve them of their sins if they visit his grave on Rosh Hashanah.
