Jerusalem, 30 April, 2024 (TPS) -- Israelis top off their gas tanks in Jerusalem on April 30, 2024 as gasoline prices are due to rise at midnight for the fifth consecutive month. Starting May 1, one liter of 95 octane gasoline will cost 7.90 shekels ($2.10), the highest price since July 2022, when Russian fighting in Ukraine sent prices to 8.08 shekels ($2.15). In addition to the war, excise taxes on fuel that were lowered in 2022 are being restored. Photo by Yoav Dudkevitch/TPS-IL
