Israelis Protest Against Draft Deferments for Ultra-Orthodox

Jerusalem, 14 March, 2024 (TPS) -- Thousands of Israeli military reservists and others cram central Tel Aviv Thursday night to protest against continuing to allow Israel’s Haredim (ultra-orthodox) to avoid military service by studying indefinitely in yeshivas (Tora study academies).
