Memorial Ceremony for Israel’s Fallen Heroes

Jerusalem, 8 May, 2024 (TPS) -- A ceremony honoring the men and women who fell while serving in the Defense of their country was held on Wednesday in the Memorial Hall at Israel’s Mt. Herzl national military cemetery in Jerusalem. The ceremony was held ahead of Yom HaZikaron (Hebrew for Day of Memory), Israel’s Memorial Day, which begins at sundown on Sunday night.
In Israel Memorial Day is observed the day before Independence Day, which begins next Monday night.
