Mothers of Israeli Soldiers Protest Against Draft Exemptions for Ultra-Orthodox

Jerusalem, 7 March, 2024 (TPS) -- Women from “Mothers on the Frontlines” demonstrate at the entrance to the Bakum (Israel Defense Forces induction center) at the Tel HaShomer army base in Ramat Gan against the continued draft deferments for Haredi (Ultra-Orthodox) Israeli. Haredi Israeli men can study in a yeshiva (Tora academy) indefinitely in order to avoid military service.
