Jerusalem, 12 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- The landscape around the Dead Sea blossoms in a rare burst of color on Feb. 12, 2026. In a phenomenon that occurs about once every decade, exceptionally heavy rains wash away salt from the upper soil layers, awakening dormant seeds like purple fairy flax, pink desert sorrel and red Persian buttercups.
