New Torah Scroll Dedicated to Israeli Hostages

Jerusalem, 11 January, 2024 (TPS) -- The families of Israeli hostages completed the writing of a Torah scroll at Tel Aviv’s “Hostage Square” on Jan. 11, 2024. Organized by the Mizrachi World Movement, the scroll is dedicated to the 136 abductees held in Gaza by Hamas. The movement said the scroll will be given to an Israeli army unit currently serving in Gaza “in the hope that it will bring blessing in their actions and that the commandment of bringing the Torah book will help return the abductees home safe and sound.” Photo by Eitan Elhadez-Barak/TPS
