Thousands mark Shabbat Chayei Sarah in Hebron

Jerusalem, 4 November, 2018 (TPS) -- Thousands of people spent the sabbath in Hebron this weekend to mark Shabbat Chayei Sarah, the Torah portion that describes Abraham’s negotiations to buy a burial plot for his wife Sarah at what is today known as the Tomb of the Patriarchs.
