Women Of The Wall Pray At the Kotel

Jerusalem, 31 October, 2019 (TPS) -- “Women of the Wall” celebrated the new month of Heshvan, the second month of the Hebrew calendar, at the Kotel in the Old City of Jerusalem.

The women came wearing kippahs and tallit, and read from the Torah, all of which are traditionally exclusive to men in Orthodox communities.

The prayer caused protests and clashes with police forces and other worshippers at the Kotel.
