Jerusalem, 21 July, 2016 (TPS-IL) -- A police spokesperson said that 12 people have been arrested thus far on suspicion of attempting to disrupt the gay pride parade in Jerusalem and to harm its participants. According to the police, two of the suspects were carrying knives. All the suspects have been taken for questioning.
Thousands are participating in the march in Israel’s capital, under heavy security following the stabbing last year by an ultra-Orthodox man that killed 16-year-old Shira Banki.
