Tourist figures continue to surge

Jerusalem, 4 October, 2018 (TPS-IL) -- Some 3.1 million tourists visited Israel between January and September, a 15% rise from 2017 when tourism hit an all-time year-long high of 3.836 million. The stats include 2.9 million tourists who visited Israel for multiple days, as well as 181,000 tourists who visited on day-trips. both entering and exiting the country on the same day. Some 1.6 million tourists arrived from Europe, 705,000 from North America, 300,000 from Asia and 93,000 from South America.
