5 Jews Arrested on Temple Mount for Prayer

Jerusalem, 24 April, 2016 (TPS) -- The Jerusalem District Police spokesperson announced on Sunday that since the beginning of the day five Jewish visitors have been arrested during their visit to the Temple Mount compound in Jerusalem.

According to the spokesperson, the five were men, four of whom were minors, were escorted out of the Temple Mount and detained by the Israel Police for “disobeying the visitation rules.”

The visitors were reportedly praying during their tour of the Temple Mount compound, an activity which is strictly prohibited to Jews.
