Attacks Prevented in Gush Etzion, Shaar Binyamin

Jerusalem, 18 March, 2016 (TPS-IL) -- An attempted stabbing attack at the Gush Etzion Junction was prevented Friday afternoon, March 18, when the terrorist was neutralized by IDF forces at the scene. The terrorist stepped out of a car and attempted to stab IDF soldiers, leading the forces to fire on him, the IDF Spokesperson’s Office said. No soldiers were injured in the attempted attack.
Earlier in the day, security forces prevented a likely knife attack at the Shaar Binyamin Industrial Zone when they apprehended two suspicious youths and seized knives the youths were carrying. IDF and police forces are scouring the area for the vehicle that transported the suspects.
