Attempted Stabbing Attack In Jerusalem’s Old City

Jerusalem, 8 March, 2016 (TPS) -- A Palestinian woman attempted to commit a stabbing attack on Israeli policemen near Jerusalem’s Western Wall. The attacker was shot and moderately wounded. The police have secured the area surrounding the scene of the attack.

The attacker, Fadwa Abu Tayyar, is a 50-year-old resident of eastern Jerusalem.

A Japanese tourist was attacked yesterday near the location of today’s attack when rocks were pelted in her direction as she and a group of tourists were reportedly visiting St. Anne’s Church.
