Border Policewoman injured in Bethlehem riot

Jerusalem, 31 July, 2018 (TPS-IL) -- An IDF Border Policewoman was lightly injured overnight between  Tuesday and Wednesday during riots in the Deheshia refugee camp in Bethlehem, as protesters assaulted officers with rocks and Molotov cocktails. 

The Border Police, together with Shin Bet and Israel Police, had entered the camp to arrest terrorist suspects. Seventeen people were detained in the operation. 

The military said in a statement that the army was continuing to battle protesters with riot control techniques. The wounded soldier received first aid at the scene and was evacuated to a Jerusalem hospital.
