Jerusalem, 18 October, 2018 (TPS) --
Landing routes at Ben Gurion Airport were redirected Thursday in the wake of an escalation of tensions with Gaza, the Israel Airports Authority said. On Wednesday, two rockets were fired at Israel, one scoring a direct hit on a house in Beer Sheva and another landing in the sea in the central region. During the 2014 Gaza War, several airlines temporarily suspended flights to Ben Gurion after a rocket fired from Gaza landed around 1.5 kilometers from the airport.
