Egypt Approves Israeli Drone Attacks in Sinai

Jerusalem, 11 July, 2016 (TPS) -- A former Israeli high ranking officer has confimed to Bloomberg that Israeli drones have carried out several attacks in the Sinai peninsula, with Egypt’s blessing.

This comes on the heels of a meeting between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the Foreign Minister of Egypt Sameh Shoukry on Sunday as part of an increased effort to discuss the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

According to the Bloomberg article, Israel has attacked terrorist targets in Sinai several times. These attacks were met with approval by Egypt.

Sinai has struggled with several Salafi jihadists and Isis members in their area, who have already fired rockets at Israel.
