Eisenkot cancels Germany trip as Netanyahu extends his term

Jerusalem, 26 November, 2018 (TPS-IL) -- Outgoing IDF Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot cancelled a planned trip to Germany, which was supposed to take place next week, as Prime Minister Netanyahu announced that he will be extending Eisenkot’s term by 15 days. He is to be honorably discharged and replaced by Maj. Gen. Aviv Kochavi as Chief of Staff on January 15th, 2019.
