Jerusalem, 6 October, 2016 (TPS) -- A red alert rocket alarm sounded at the Eshkol Regional Council around 2:30 p.m. A mortar apparently landed in an open area without causing injuries or damage, the IDF said. Forces are searching for the mortar.

The incident follows a similar rocket attack one day earlier that landed in the Israeli city of Sderot, causing several people to suffer from shock and damage to a road. The IDF struck targets in Gaza in response.
