Jerusalem, 30 August, 2016 (TPS) -- The Israeli Airport Authority said that the security staff at Ben Gurion Airport arrested four Palestinians who were staying illegally in Israeli-controlled territory. However, the police identified the suspects as Israeli citizens.

The four arrived at the airport gates in a car and did not cooperate with the security staff. The vehicle escaped towards terminal 3, the airport’s main terminal, and measures were immediately taken to stop it. The car stopped a security gate, and two of the passengers attempted to climb over it.

At that point the security guards managed to capture and handcuff them suspects. After an initial interrogation, during which the possibility of an attempted terror attack was ruled out, they were transferred to the police for further investigation.
